Where to start?

The first thing we suggest is that you enter your Virtual Campus. You can access with the identification document without a letter and the same password with which you pre-registered. Once inside you can change it.

From here you will have access to your file, exam calls, grades, contact details of your teachers; You can enroll in courses or request your transport passes, among other options. Please note that some of these services will not be available until the beginning of the school year.

Once inside the Virtual Campus you will find the Virtual Classroom , which is the support platform for class teaching. You can visit it to get familiar with it, but keep in mind that it will not open until the course starts in September. If you have any questions, please go to aula.virtual@upct.es

From your Virtual Campus you also activate your email account in the UPCTcloud @edu.upct.es space. It is essential to do so because you will need it to apply for your university card, transport passes, use the Hoop Carpool app, among other services. In addition, this email is the means that your Study Center (management, teachers, secretaries, etc.) and university services will use to communicate with you. You can redirect it to your usual email.  Here's how to do it: UPCT Email

 Meet your student tutor

As a new UPCT student, you are assigned a veteran student of the same degree who, under teaching supervision, will be in charge of guiding you during this first year, from the beginning of the course, to facilitate your adaptation to the new university system.

It will inform you about the operation of classes, exams, the virtual classroom, the sports you can practice, volunteer activities, student facilities or the most frequent services, among other indications. Together with your student tutor, you will participate with other classmates and you will be able to ask them all the questions you have throughout the course. This is the Tutorial Action Plan (PAT)

To be part of the PAT and contact your student tutor, you just have to attend the welcome days, check your email @edu.upct.es or write to the coordinator of your study center.

In the Study Plan of your Degree there are the "Teaching Guides" of each subject where the reference bibliography is found.

However, it is best to wait until the beginning of classes and ask your teacher who can best guide you.

The way of learning, studying and examining at university is very different from that of secondary education. Attending class is very useful and convenient to adapt to the new system and enrich your university experience.

On the one hand, it allows you to interact with the teacher who will guide your study and answer your questions, both about the subjects and about how they are assessed.

On the other hand, you will meet new colleagues with whom to share objectives and make a team.

Practical classes will allow you to apply theory and work with your classmates. The learning that is acquired through the use of the means and equipment in the laboratories are skills that can only be acquired with assistance.

All degrees are organized in ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits. Each ETCS corresponds to between 25/30 hours of student work. Thus, the longer subjects will have more credits.

Of the total number of credits in your curriculum, you can obtain up to 6 ECTS with optional subjects such as sports, volunteering or languages, among other activities that you can consult here Optional activities with ECTS

To solve them, the best thing to do is to go to class, although if you need to, you can also send an email to your teachers and/or arrange a tutorial.

Their schedules must be reflected in the Teaching Guide in your Virtual Classroom.

The slides and materials used in class, as well as other tools for the study of the subject, are usually uploaded to the Virtual Classroom. They will serve as support for the notes taken in class.

In addition, the Centres have a notes committee managed by the Student Delegations of each of them. You can also ask and talk to veteran students who have taken the subject so that they can guide you.
