Voice User Interface (VUI)

The voice interface allows us to interact with the UPCTforma learning units through voice. It is a feature that can be used by any user but is especially important for people with reduced mobility.

Below are the commands that can be used and that can also be consulted in the Voice Interface Commands document .

As global commands we have the following commands:

• Help: Displays commands that can be used.

• Accessibility: Displays the accessibility menu.

• Home: Shift the focus to the top of the page.

• Next: Select the next voice-controllable widget.

• Previous: Select the voice-controllable widget above.

• Scroll down: Scroll down the portion of content displayed.

• Upload: Scroll up the portion of content displayed.

• Go to X Number: Select the voice-controllable X number widget.

• Enter: Activates the currently selected voice-controllable widget.

• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

• Close: Closes currently open information messages and modal windows.

Here are some examples of these commands:

Available commands for the video:

• Play: Play the video.
• Pause: Pauses the video.
• Stop: Stops the video.
• Maximize: Maximizes the video player.
• Minimize: Minimizes the video player.
• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

While in this widget we can use the global commands: Help, Up, Down, and Close.

The commands we must use to interact with an upright accordion are: 

Out of a tab

• Next: Select the next tab.
• Previous: Select the previous tab.
• Enter: Enter the selected tab.
• Go to X number: Select the X number tab.
• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

Inside a tab

• Next: Select the next voice-controllable widget.
• Previous: Select the previous voice-controllable widget.
• Enter: Activates the currently selected widget.
• Go to X Number: Select the voice-controllable item number X.
• Go back or Finish: Go back to the accordion tabs.

While in this widget we can use the global commands: Help, Up, Down, and Close.

To interact with the pairs widget we will use the commands:

• Next: Select the next item.
• Previous: Select the previous item.
• Go to X number: Select the X numbered item.
• Dial: Marks the item selected to pair.
• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

If we are part of a gamification activity, we can use:

• Check: Submit your answers.
• Reset: Resets the status of the activity.

While in this widget we can use the global commands: Help, Up, Down, and Close.

In this widget we have the following commands available:

• Next: Select the option below.
• Previous: Select the previous option.
• Check: Verify the answers.
• Go to X number: Select the X number option.
• Move to [text]: Associates the selected option with the concept [text].
• Move to Definition [Position]: Associates the selected option with the concept whose position is [position].
• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

While in this widget we can use the global commands: Help, Up, Down, and Close.

Available Commands:

• Next: Select the option below.
• Previous: Select the previous option.
• Check: Verify your answers.
• Enter: Change the status of the currently selected option.
• Go to X number: Select the X number option.
• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

While in this widget we can use the global commands: Help, Up, Down, and Close.

For these two widgets we have the following commands:

• Enter: Displays the text of the image.
• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

While in this widget we can use the global commands: Help, Up, Down, and Close.

To interact with modal windows we can use the following commands:

• Enter: Opens the modal window.
• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

While in this widget we can use the global commands: Help, Up, Down, and Close.

Available Commands:

• Next: Select the image below.
• Previous: Select the image above.
• Go to X number: Select the X number image.
• Stop: Stops the audio associated with the selected image.
• Pause: Pauses the audio associated with the selected image.
• Play: Plays the audio associated with the selected image.
• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

While in this widget we can use the global commands: Help, Up, Down, and Close.

Available Commands:

• Play: Plays the audio.
• Pause: Pauses the audio.
• Stop: Stops the audio.
• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

While in this widget we can use the global commands: Help, Up, Down, and Close.

• Next: Select the next option.
• Previous: Select the previous option.
• Enter: Turn on the current option.
• Go to X number: Select the X number option.
• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

While in this widget we can use the global commands: Help, Up, Down, and Close.

Available Commands:

• Next: Select the next option.
• Previous: Select the previous option.
• Check: Verify your answers.

• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

Out of a tab

• Next: Select the next tab.
• Previous: Select the previous tab.
• Enter: Enter the selected tab.
• Go to X number: Select the X number tab.
• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

Inside a tab

• Next: Select the next voice-controllable widget.
• Previous: Select the previous voice-controllable widget.
• Enter: Activates the currently selected voice-controllable item.
• Go to X Number: Select the voice-controllable item number X.
• Go back or Finish: Go back to the tabs.

While in this widget we can use the global commands: Help, Up, Down, and Close.

Available Commands:

• Enter: Initializes the schema.
• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

While in this widget we can use the global commands: Help, Up, Down, and Close.

When we enter a gamification activity we can use the following commands:

• Type [text]: Type [text] in the text box.
• Delete: Deletes the contents of the text box.
• Enter: Submit the form.
• Finish: End voice interaction with this widget.

While in this widget we can use the global commands: Help and Close.
